    London Irish have signed Canadian international centre Newfoundlander  Ciaran Hearn for the remainder of the season after his impressive World Cup. Hearn is a native of Conception Bay South. The 30 year old  centre was ever-present for Canada during the recent Rugby World Cup, regularly receiving acclaim for his work in attack and defence. PASQUALE RECALLED

  The St. John’s  IceCaps have recalled goaltender Eddie Pasquale from the Brampton Beast of the ECHL.   Pasquale has posted a 4-1 win-loss record with the Beast, including a 3.88 goals against average and a .877 save percentage. The 24-year-old Toronto native has not dressed for the IceCaps so far this season. He was signed in July to a one-year American Hockey League contract for the 2015-16 season.   An original IceCap, Pasquale played three seasons in St. John’s from 2011-12 to 2013-14 and holds many team records, including most games played by a netminder – 112.    …
