    The St. John’s Caps scored five goals in the second period and added three in the third to beat Conception Bay CeeBee Stars 8-2 in Avalon East senior hockey play. Justin O’Rielly and Lucas Deering scored two goals each for the winners. Mike Druken, Robert Barrett, Jeremy Dixon and Jon Caul added singles.        S U N D A Y    Three games played Sunday in St. John’s Junior Hockey. Mount Pearl Blades get five goals from five different players and defeat C-B-R Renegades 5-1. The Renegades were up 1-nothing after the first and Mount Pearl came back for a 2-1 lead after two periods.   The St. John’s Ice Caps finished their six game road trip on a winning note Saturday. They were down 3-nothing to the Hershey Bears and win in a shootout. It was Daniel Carr’s goal 17:04 of the third period that forced the game into overtime. The extra session settled nothing.
