  Sean Janes gets the win as Holy Cross win their 9th game of the season beating Roebothan McKay and Marshall Gonzaga Vikings 10-1 in senior baseball play Thursday night at St. Pat’s. Janes went seven innings and allowed one run on nine hits. He walked two and struck out four.   Hockey NL will be holding their regular Pre-Season Meeting this weekend in Gander at the Albatross Hotel for all of the membership to prepare events and programs for the 2017-2018 hockey season. Minor, Female, Junior and Senior Hockey members in the province will be at these meetings. Some of the many agenda subjects include preparation for the 2018 NL Winter Games, sanctions in Junior and Senior Hockey, information presentations on the new regulations and policies for the upcoming season will be delivered including a new policy on the return to play protocol.       S  U N D A Y  Memorials women’s soccer teams improved to 4-0 Sunday with a 1-nothing win over Dalhousie. Jessie Noseworthy scored the winning goal at 74;59 of this game. Sydney Walsh got the shutout.   The men’s soccer team lost its first game on Sunday.
