EDGE SIGN ANOTHER PLAYER TO A CONTRACT

  The St. John’s Edge has signed North York, Ontario native Junior Cadougan to a one-year contract.   Cadougan,who is  6-foot-1, has spent the last two seasons with the London Lightning. His best year came  in 2016-17. During that campaign, in 46 games, he averaged 8.02 points, 2.80 rebounds, 4.15 assists, and 25.5 minutes. He shot .435 (121-for-278) from the field, .317 (20-for-63) from three-point range, and .811 (107-for-132) at the free throw line. He played 4 years at Marquette University, leading his team to three Sweet Sixteen appearances, one Elite Eight appearance, and a Big East Title.  …

      56th Annual Molson Senior Men’s Fastpitch Provincial   3 Cheers Pub Bud Light are the 2018 provincial men’s fast pitch softball champions. Colin Walsh single in the bottom of the 8th inning drove in the winning run. It was his second hit of the game. 2018 MARATHON HALF MARATHON NOW HISTORY

  The results have finally been released for Monday’s Huffin Puffin Marathon.   The marathon was won by Jonathan Adey who covered the 26 miles 385 yard course in 3:04.26. Tony Pile placed second in 3:05.44. Third place overall and first female finisher was Denisse Justiniano in a time of 3:25:47. The second female finisher was Thelma Greene in 3:44.00 69 runners completed the marathon.   Peter Power won the half marathon with a time of 1:17.28.
