The Growlers win their 19th game of the season with a 4-3 win over Brampton thanks to four second period goals after trailing 2-nothing after the first. The Edge used home court advantage this weekend to get two wins over Island Storm Sunday with Desmond Lee sinking 31 points the Edge defeated the Island Storm 127-116. Carl English added 23. The Storm led 58-57 at half time. Friday the Edge came away with a 112-104 win. Maurice Jones Senior had 23 points. The Edge now improve to 4-5 on the season. A huge boost to Rugby in St. John’s and for the Swilers Field in particular. The Provincial Government will invest approximately $120,000 towards field rehabilitation efforts which is used by the Atlantic Rock Canadian Rugby.
