Chislett Whitten Law defeated Maries Mini Mart 60-51 in one of three Metro Basketball games Thursday night.   Steve Gosse led the winners with 19 points while Gerald Dooley added 18 and  Justin Rogers 11 Jeremy McCarthy of Maries was the top scorer in this game with  30 points. The 21st annual Sportscraft Source for Sports Confederation Cup High School Hockey Invitational Tournament is taking place this week from Tuesday, February 5th to Sunday, February 10th at various rinks in St. John’s and the surrounding area. The Confederation Cup High School Hockey Tournament began in 1999 as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Newfoundland and Labrador becoming Canada’s tenth province in 1949. This year’s tournament, which will be the largest boy’s high school hockey tournament in the province, will see 20 teams from across the province compete in a total of 46 games in nine venues throughout the…
