GAME TWO
The St. John’s Caps are now up two games to none in their Avalon East best of seven final series against Northeast Eagles.
The Caps jumped into a 3-nothing lead after two periods and go on to a 4-1 victory at the Goulds Arena.

Robert Barrett, Jeremy Barron, Brandon Fewer and Luc Dearing shared in the scoring for the Caps. Mark Chaplin scored in the third period for the Eagles.
The Caps won the first game of the series 4-3.
Game three is set for Friday night at the Jack Byrne arena.

 

GAME ONE

The St. John’s Caps won the opening game of the Avalon EAst best of seven final series Friday night.
The Caps edged the Northeast Eagles 4-3 at the Jack Byrne Arena.
It was a close game from the start. The teams were deadlocked at one all after the first 20 minutes of play. The Caps managed to take a 3-2 lead after the second period and the teams exchanged goals in the third period with thre Caps getting the victory.
Mark Roebothan, Jon Caul, Luc Deering and Justin O’Rielly shared in the scoring for the Caps.
Bryan Clarke, Chris Mooney and Dan Cadigan replied for the Eagles.
Game two in this series will be played Monday night at eight o’clock at the Goulds Arena.
