ST JOHNS, NL – Newfoundland and Labrador Curling Association has announced that because of Covid restriction currently in place the provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts qualification event won’t be going ahead at this time even though the national event is still scheduled for January 28 through February 2 in Thunder Ontario.

NLCA President, Harold Walters, said in a email today that  they will do the same as some other provinces and use CTRS points to determine who will represent Newfoundland and Labrador at the Scotties this year. Team Hill currently has the most points.

In the event that the national event gets delayed and the NLCA is able to host a provincial then they will take that route but as of now this decision is the official status..
