Newfoundland Hockey players were selected in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League draft that took place on Saturday.
Dawson Mercer of Bay Roberts was selected eight overall by Drummondville.
Charlottetown Rockets picked Brett Budgell if St John’s 25th overall.
And Halifax pick 16 year old Alex Newhook of St John’s. He has also chosen to play at Boston College when he finishes high school
