ST JOHN’S, NL –  St John’s QMJHL hockey team, The Regiment, has two young Newfoundlander on their roster for their inaugural season. 

Sixteen year old Benjamin Veitch is from St John’s. Wears number 88 and plays centre. He was a first round draft pick by the Regiment. 

Quinn Norman, number 91, is from Conception Bay South and was also a first round draft pick. He plays defence and fifteen years old. 

The QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) is a youth league that spans eastern Canada. It is often the starting point for young players college or pro hockey careers. Player are typically high school age.
