The Los Angeles Kings placed Teddy Purcell on Waivers Saturday and Sunday he was assigned to their AHL team Ontario Region.
According to the Kings the 31 year old St John’s native has been hampered by poor health and ineffective play this season.
He has just two assists in 12 games.
Purcell spent two seasons in AHL and was rookie of the year and also an all-star twice.
