Strong and Percell win Bally Hally Cashspiel

ST. JOHN’S, Newfoundland – Heather Strong and Team Altomaxx and Owen Purcell team from Nova Scotia took home the cash in the Bally Hally Open Cashspiel this weekend in St. John’s at the Bally Hally Curling Club.

Strong defeated Erica Curtis’ Team Marco in a marathon match making an angle raise double for 2 in the 8th and stole 1 in the extra end for a final score of 5 – 4.

Owen Purcell’ team defeated Greg Smith’s team, Newfoundland Styro 7 – 2

Up for grabs was a total of $10,000 in prize money.
