Liam O’Rielly  scores in overtime and Celtics edge Southern Shore 4-3. Like McKay, Jonathan Cooper and Tyler  Bennett had the other goals. Peter Kavanagh netted a pair for the Shore and Daniel Alyward had the other goal.

Trinity Placentia Flyers down St. John’s Caps  5-2. Flyers outshot the caps 54-27. Noel Morgan had two goals for the winners with Matt Hanson, Connor Stevens and Dakota Seaward with the singles. Shawn Loverage and Lee Gulliver replied for the Caps.

Riley Akerman  stopped 26 shots as the CBN Stars shutout Mount Pearl 3-nothing.  Mark Barrett, Lucas Goobie and Devin Whelan provided the goals.

 

 

 

S A T U R D A Y

The C-B-R Renegades continue their winning ways in St. John’s Junior Hockey Saturday night as they down the Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals 5-2.

Andrew Barron tallied twice for the Renegades with teams mates Mitch King, Trevor Forward, and Lucas Lush adding singles.

Andrew Paul and Andrew Caines replied for the Capitals.

Stephan Pedhman connected for a pair of markers leading Mount Pearl Blades to a come-from-behind 6-2 win over the St John’s Caps  scoring four unanswered third period goals.

Daniel Toope, Michael Broaders, Wesley Fox and Chad Thompson each scored a single goal for the Blades.

Chris Mallard, Jesse Parrell and Conor Eberle had the Caps goals.
