C-B-N Junior Stars defeat the Trinity Placentia  Flyers 6-1. Devin Whelan scored twice and setup another for the winners. Michael Mason, Riley Deering, Colby Murphy and Mitchell Lewis added singles. Jpsh St. George replied for the Flyers.

In another game Mount Pearl down the Celtics 7-3.

 

 

S A T U R D A Y

 

Andrew Paul and Adam Caines scored twice each and Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals skate to a 7-3 decision of Celtics in junior hockey action Saturday.  Jack McCarthy, Brett Vokey, and Jordan Freake added singles.

Alex Snow had two goals for Celtics and Justin Carberry had the single.

The Capitals took a 1-nothing lead to the second period and found the game deadlocked at two all after 40 minutes of play.

 

Mitch King scored twice and added  an assist, leading C-B-R Renegades to a 4-2 decision over the Trinity Placentia Flyers. Zack Hoskins and Luke Tilley contributed singles. Colin Jackson and Jordan Richards replied for the Flyers.

The Renegades were up 1-nothing following the first period and held a 3-1 advantage heading to the third.

 

The St. John’s Caps doubled the Mount Pearl Blades 6-3 as Chris Mallard potted two goals and setup another and Joey Trenholm added a pair. Liam Myers added a goal and two assists and Grant Nolan a goal and one assist.

Stephen Predham, Grant Thompson and Brandon Kalbfleisch had the Blades markers.

It was a 2-0 game in favour of the Caps after the first 20 minutes  but the Blades battled back and had the game tied 3-all after 40 minutes.

C-B-N Stars moved into a fifth place tie with the Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals with a 4-1 win over the Capitals.

Neil Woolfrey, Josh LeDrew, Colby Murphy and Devin Whelan shared in the scoring for the winners.

Iain Gamban replied for the Capitals.

The St. John’s Capps moved into a second place tie with Mount Pearl and Northeast Celtics as they handed Southern Shore Breakers their tenth straight loss with a 7-4 decision.

Josh Thornhill and Jason Michaud had a pair of goals each for the winners. Craig Follett, Alex Doyle and  Eddie Rumsey scored single goals.

Peter Kavanagh netted two goals for the Shore with singles from Phil Corbett and Samus Sloane.
