A well known soccer volunteer in the province is stepping aside.

Gord Dunphy has decided after eight years with Soccer Newfoundland he won’t be seeking a fifth team as senior men’s vice president and in charge of Challenge Cup.

Dunphy says he has had spinal fusion surgery and he will have a second spinal surgery this year.
