OMT Shamrocks won the opening game of the best of seven St. John’s senior baseball final series with a 2-1 win over Roebothan McKay and Marshall Gonzaga Vikings.
Both starting pitchers went the distance.
Scott Goosney gets the win allowing four hits no walks and two strikeouts . The only run rthw allowed was a solo home run to Peter Madden in the fifth inning.
Dan Connors takes the loss. He was tagged for six hits, walked two and fired the third strike past five.
Scott Stockley of the Shamrocks was the only player in this game with two hits.
Game two of the series will be played Thursday night at six o clock at St.Pat’s
