It was the longest game in St. John’s Intermediate baseball playoff history.

Shamrocks scored two runs in the bottom of the 14th inning and edge Knights 5-4 to take the best of five semi-final series in straight games.

It was John Simms single with two out in the bottom of the 14th that drove in the two runs to give the Shamrocks the win after they had loaded the bases.

Parker Gulliver in relief of starter Josh Fifield gets the win. Brandon Jackson went the full 14 innings and took the loss in this game. Jackson allowed five runs three which were earned on six hits and he recorded 15 strikeouts.

Shamrocks will now await the winner of the Feildians Gonzaga series which is tied at a game apiece.
