PROVINCE GETS 1ST OFFICIAL FOOTBALL FIELD

The provinces first official football field will be opened Tuesday.

Football NL and Avalon Minor Football will have the ceremony at 6:30 at the field located at Wishingwwell Field. Football goal posts have been installed at the new field. Its the first time a field will be there for football only.

Football was played in St John’s at St Pats Ball Park back in the 1960’s.
