The Growlers are back in action Tuesday night at Mile One at seven o’clock as they once again play the Main Mariners The Growlers, however, won’t have two regulars in their lineup as they have both been recalled to the Toronto Marlies. Riley Woods and Colt Conrad were called up Monday by their A-H-L affiliate. The Growlers are first in the North Division with 36 wins and 72 points. Maine is fourth with 59. I have a replica ring of the Newfoundland Growlers ECHL championship from last season. However, this past weekend I had a chance to hold the real ring. The ring belongs to the most famous Growler–Buddy the Puffin. Sure he never played a game but he is a major reason people especially children come to a hockey game to see the Puffin.
