I GOT TO TOUCH A GROWLERS CHAMPIONSHIP RING

I have a replica ring of the Newfoundland Growlers ECHL championship from last season. However, this past weekend I had a chance to hold the real ring. The ring belongs to the most famous Growler–Buddy the Puffin. Sure he never played a game but he is a major reason people especially children come to a hockey game to see the Puffin. It also goes to show what this class organization thinks about the team mascot. CAPS BEAT CARIBOUS IN A ROUGH GAME

  It was a rough game in East Coast Senior Hockey Friday night between the St. John’s Caps and Clarenville Caribous. Three players from each team were given fighting majors and misconducts. The Caps skated to a 6-3 win over the Caribous with six players sharing the scoring for the winners.
