The Bulldogs get a pitching and hitting performance from Sean Cleary to take a 10-3 six inning victory over NTV Hitmen. Cleary the pitcher went the six innings giving up five hits and recording 13 strikeouts. Cleary the batter had a three for four performance with two three run homers. The Brad Gushue curling team captured a World Curling Tour championship at the “AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic” in Cornwall, Ontario with a 5-4 extra end victory over Glen Howard Sunday. The St. John’s Senior Baseball semi-finals, both best of five, begin Tuesday night at St. Pats Ball Park. The opening game at six o clock will be the “A” series semi-final game between Shamrocks, who finished first in the league standings and fourth place Holy Cross.
