This is the final weekend for Challenge Cup soccer. Semi final matches went yesterday. Holy Cross beat CBS 2-0 while Feildians defeated St. Lawrence 5-1. CBS and St. Lawerence will play today for Bronze at 3pm while Holy Cross and Feildians will battle it out for Gold tomorrow, Sept 5, at 2pm both at King George the Fifth. SUMMERSIDE, PEI – Newfoundland’s U16 girls have won the Atlantic baseball championship. On Sunday afternoon in Summerside, PEI Team NL defeated Team NS 9 – 3 to capture the 2021 Atlantic Baseball Championship. Jaida Lee pitched the win with 15 strikeouts and banged out 3 hit to lead the winners. Jaida claimed Top Batter and Top Pitcher honors for the tournament.
