MONARCHS CORNER BROOK BASEBALL CHAMPS

    Westside Monarchs have won the 2017 Corner Brook senior baseball championship and in a sweep.   The Monarchs defeated the Hawks 5-1 Sunday to sweep the best of seven series four games to none. The Monarchs win game one 2-1, game two 1-nothing and game three 11-6   Matthew Colbourne tossed the win for the Monarchs. He gave up one run on eight hits, he walked two and struck out six.   Veteran Frank Humber takes the loss.
