  Sean Cleary of Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs was named the Most Valuable Player in the St. John’s senior men’s fastpitch softball league for the past season.   Cleary had a 9-2 record for the season and has 144 strikeouts in 72 and two thirds innings of pitching.     C O R R E C T I O N Jordan Pomeroy of the Canada Games team was named rookie of the year, he played 14 games and had a batting average of .366.     S U N D A Y    The Sea Hawks women’s basketball team lost it’s second weekend game Sunday to Acadia.       St. John’s Rams are Avalon Bowl Champs   The St. John’s Rams defeated Bay Roberts Warriors 8-6  in the first ever Football NL U-18 Avalon Bowl.   Tanner Mitchell of St. John’s opened the scoring with a 1st quarter sack in the end zone for a two point safety.     Austin Janes rushed for a Touchdown to put Bay Roberts up 6-2 early in the 4th quarter.   However, with under 5 minutes to go in the game, St. John’s Rams Quarterback, Peter Clarke, scampered for the game winning touchdown to put the Rams up for…
