    St. Lawrence Laurentians and Holy Cross split their Challenge Cup games this weekend on the Burin Peninsula. Holy Cross won 1-nothing Saturday om a goal by Scott Woodfine Sunday the Laurentians won 3-2 as Tyler Forsey scored twice and Kyle Edwards added a single.   In other weekend games CBS blanked Paradise 1-nothing. FEWER WINS 5K ROAD RACE

    Colin Fewer won the Pearlgate Provincial 5K road race Sunday with a time of 15 minutes and 8 seconds. Chris Galley was second in 15 minutes and 45 seconds.   The 2018 World Junior Ball Hockey championships will be held in Mount Pearl in July. 12 teams will compete in two age groups. There will will be 12 teams competing in the under 20 and under 18 divisions.   Canada, USA, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Great Britain and Switzerland are the countries represented.
