S A T U R D A Y 

The St. John’s Junior Caps won their second game of the weekend with a 3-0 win over the Mount Pearl Junior Blades.

 

Nathan Peters paced the winners with two goals while Danny Rice added a single.

Ian Woolfrey stopped all shots fired his way for the shutout.

 

CBR  Renegades doubled the Roebothan,  McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals 5-2.

 

Tyler Wall led the way with two goals Brad Connors, Donnie Nugent and Carter Marrison added singles for the winners.

 

Zack Tucker and Brett Vokey replied for the Capitals.

 

 

F R I D A Y 

Overtime was the order of the night in St. Johns Junior Hockey League action.
It took just 47 seconds into overtime for Liam Hynes to score and give the Southern Shore Breakers a 3-2 decision over the Trinity Placentia Flyers. For Hynes it was his second goal of this contest. A J Doyle scored the other Shore goal in regulation time.
Nathan LeDrew and Conal McNamara had the goals for the Shore.

The St Johns Caps downed C-B-N Stars 3-1 in another Friday night match up. Three players shared in the Caps scoring, Matthew Smith, Liam Myers and Chris Mallard. Ryan Dawson had the Stars goal.
There are two games set for Saturday night. CBR Renegades host the Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals at seven while at eight St Johns Caps are at home to the Mount Pearl Blades.
