GANDER, NL – The Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Games get underway in Gander today with 1200 athletes from across the province competing various sports including hockey, curling, badminton, table tennis, cross country skiing, gymnastics, starting on Sunday February 25th. Followed by basketball, wrestling and figure skating.
Zone teams are Avalon, Central, Western, Mount Pearl/South, St John’s/North, Host, Labrador, Indigenous and St Pierre and Miquelon.
