NL U16 Girls defeat PEI at Atlantic Challenge baseball

SUMMERSIDE, PEI – In their second game of the day, Team NL defeated Team PEI 24 – 3.

What was a very good ball game turned ugly in the 7th inning when Team NL scored 14 runs in the top of the inning.
Jaida Lee (STJ), Hope Bishop-Frizzell (CBS) and Stephanie Pelley (STJ) each had two hits to lead the winners.
Madison Lockyer (MP), Kayla Musseau (STJ), Faith Davis (GFW), Cecily Davis (CBS) and Rebecca Flynn (CB) each had one hit.
Holly Russell (GFW) started and pitched 2 1/3 innings. Madison Lockyer pitched 3 innings and Sommer Mosher finished up pitching 1 2/3.
Madison Lockyer was Player of the game (POG) for Team NL.

Team NL sits at 2W – 0L and plays Team NS on Saturday at 12:00 PM (AST).
