NL SOCCER HOLDS AWARDS NIGHT

Soccer Newfoundland and Labrador  held its awards night Friday night at the Holiday Inn  and induct eight new members into the Hall of Fame.

 

They include Denise Hickey, John McGrath, Clarence (Clar) Brooks, Fred (Butch) Reddy, Gerry O’Brien, Gord Dunphy, Philip Ruiz and Nels Wilkins.

 

In addition to the Ross Arlett award for Senior Official of the Year, awards will be handed out for the youth male and female officials of the year.

Also at the awards dinner, the NLSA will recognize the contributions of Trevor Paine and Dorothy Hickey.  Hickey who will receive the NLSA’s first ever Award of Merit for her work at the national level, while Paine will become an Honorary Life Member for his contribution to the sport in Labrador, plus at the provincial level.
