CANADA STARTS BALL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS FRIDAY

Team Canada is set to compete in the world women’s ball hockey championships starting Friday in Kosice Slovakia.

 

Kristen Cooze from Kippins, April Drake of Long Cove and Dawk Tulk of Deer Lake are the players on the team. They are coached by Steve Power of St. John’s. The team physician is Dr Ian Marshall also of St. John’s.

 

Six Newfoundland players and a coach and doctor will be part of the men’s team representing Canada at the world ball hockey championships in Slovakia.

 

The players are defencemen Cody Dohoghey and Patrick O’Keefe. The three forwards are Connor Donaghey, Jordan Escott, Jordan Maher and Kevin Reid.

 

The team coach is Ian Moores and team physician is Dr Ian Marshall.
