GAME THREE
The Caps were blown out in game three losing 14-4 to Alberta.
Alberta exploded for seven runs in the second after the Caps had grabbed a 4-0 lead after one and a half innings.
Kerian Buckingham takes the loss Sean Janes and Alex Walsh also saw mound duty.
Trever Clarke, James Walsh and Gary Diamond had the three hits the Caps had in the game.
GAME TWO
The Caps lost their second game 13-1 to New Brunswick. Greg Barry started and takes the loss in this one. James Walsh was the only Caps player to have two hits. They had four in the game with the other two by Gerald Butt and Gary Diamond. They play Alberta at ten o clock island time on Friday.
GAME ONE
Ontario Number One team played four runs in the top of the sixth inning and get by St. John’s Caps 5-4 as the Canadian senior baseball championships begin in Fredericton New Brunswicj.
St John’s managed two runs in the first and sixth innings.
Scott Goosney goes the distance and takes the loss. He pitched an eight hitter, walked one and fanned six.
Gerry Stone hit a two run homer in the bottom of the first inning that gave the Caps the early lead. Stone hit his second two run homer of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Stone and Scott Stockley both had two for three performances in this game.
