MUN NAMES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Well Memorial has named its female athlete of the week and it’s not a basketball player.

Jennifer Boland is the Memorial female athlete of the week following a great showing at the 2019 AUS Track and Field Championships in Moncton.

Boland won a gold medal in the 60 metre Hurdles, while also placing 4th in the 60 metre  sprint.

And another track athlete has been named the male athlete of the week.

Gerard Power is the Memorial male athlete of the week as he won a bronze medal at the AUS Track and Field Championships.
Power was a member of the bronze medal 4×400 metre relay team, while also finishing 6th in the 300 metre and  fourth the 4×200 metre relay .
