MUN WOMEN, MEN GET A SPLIT WITH CAPE BRETON

Memorial women’s basketball team got a split of their weekend series with Cape Breton winning 74-58 in Sunday.

Hallie Nickerson led MUN with 32 points and Alana Short added 12. They now have ten wins and four losses on the season.

 

The men’s team gets a weekend split against Cape Breton but also end a five game losing streak with an 82-69 win Sunday.

Cole Long led the Sea Hawks with 26 points and Jason Thompson added 16.

 

S A T U R D A Y

Both Memorial Basketball teams lost on Saturday night to their rivals from Cape Breton.

The women’s team fell 68-65 to Cape Breton and saw their record now go to nine wins and four losses while Cape Breton now has four wins and eight losses. 

Haillie Nickerson was the top scorer for MUN with 17 points and Alana Shore added 14.

On the Men’s side Memorial dropped to five wins and eight losses on the season as Cape Breton who are now six and six defeated MUN 64-58. 

Den Ring led MUN with 16 points and Cole Long added 11.
