MT. PEARL SLO PITCH SOFTBALL HAS CANCELLED SEASON

The Mount Pearl Slo Pitch Softball League won’t be operating this season . 

Teams and players were notified Sunday of the league decision.

Some of the reasons given are 

– Bats have to be cleaned between innings.  Balls changed after each inning.  Gloves to be worn.  

– Bathrooms have to be cleaned after every games  

– Players cannot hang out before or after games  

– Financially we have no revenue coming in, but would have to pay player fees, cleaning materials, field lights, etc.  

– How many teams could we field as there will be players passing on the season due to the threat.
