The West Side Monarchs are now just one win away from advancing to the Corner Brook Baseball League final series.
The Monarchs defeated the Hawks 6-4 in game two of the best of five semi-final series.
Greg Sharpe picks up the win going the distance. He allowed the four runs on nine hits. He issued one free pass and fanned two.
Cory Lockyear takes the loss. He went six innings allowing the six runs on ten hits. He did not walk a batter and sent eight down via the strikeout route.
Colton Kennedy was the Monarchs top batter with a perfect three for three performance.
Darren Colbourne went three for four for the Hawks Fred Prosper went two for four.
Chris Gaudon homered for the Hawks.
