A very familiar face with the Newfoundland Growlers Kelly Cup championship team will not be back next season.

Goaltender Michael Garteig who was a mainstay with the team has signed with a team in the Finish hockey league.

Garteig will be in the nets for the Tappara team in the Liiga League in Finland.

So Garteig and Adam Pardy who announced his retirement after winning the ECHL championship won’t be playing in a Growlers uniform next season.
