MAJOR MIDGET HOCKEY AWARDS

PUCK STICK BY NETThe Provincial Major Midget Hockey League presented its end of regular season awards this weekend.
Goaltender MacKenzie Janes of the St. John’s Maple Leafs was the top goaltender with a 2.16 goals against average in 26 games.
Kyle McGrath of the Maple Leafs won the league individual scoring race. He played in 32 games and scored 22 goals and added 35 assists for 57 points

The League Most Valuable Player award went to Jalen Gillard of the Western Kings.

The top defenseman was Alex Saunders of the Central Ice Pak and the Most Gentlemanly and Effective player was Adam Nolan of the Pivateers.

The Rookie of the Year was Jack Keough of the Privateers. The Coach of the year went to Doug Jackman of the Privateers.
The Leafs also finished first in the standings with 55 points followed by the St John’s Privateers with 42. Western Kings had 31 Central Ice Pak 30 and Tri Pen Osprey 17.
