The St. John’s Privateers defeat the Western Kings 8-3 in Major Midget Hockey play Saturday night.

 

 

The St. John’s Maple Leafs were 5-1 winners over the Tri Pen Osprey. Cody Langmead led the way with a pair of goals and also a pair of assists. Kyle McGrath, Danny Rice and Tyler Wall added single markers.. The Tri Pen goal came from Mark Barrett.

MacKenzie Janes made 24 saves in nets for the Leafs while Tristan Gray blocked 38 of 43 shots fired his way.

The Western Kings defeated Central Ice Pak 4-nothing in Major Midget Hockey play on Friday night at Lewisporte.

The Kings move on to St. John’s Saturday when they play the Privateers. Meanwhile the Maple Leafs will host Tri Pen Osprey at the Glacier.
