Newfoundland competition climber, Erinn Locke (18), won the Youth (U19 division) at the first event in the Tour de Bloc national climbing series in Halifax last weekend at Seven Bays gym. She won with a perfect score. This event was also the regional qualifier for Climbing Esclade Canada’s 2019 National Championships so Locke qualified for both the National Youth Boulder Championships in Montreal in February as well as the National Open Boulder Championships in Calgary in March.  This will be the third time she gone to the national championships and one of only three Newfoundlanders ever to do so.
