TP FLYERS FLYERS CLOSE TO FINALS

S  U N D A Y 

 

Trinity Placentia Junior Flyers  downed Southern Shore Breakers 5-3 Sunday to take a three games to one lead in their best of seven semi final series. Patrick Churchill lead the way with two goals.  Josh St. George , Tyler Whittle, and Conal McNamara had singles.

 

Liam Hynes, Matt Templeman and Kieran O’Driscoll replied for the Breakers. Next Game in the series is Friday night in Southern Shore Arena in Mobile 8.00pm

 

S A T U R D A Y 

 

Roebothan, McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals have taken a two games to none lead in their St. John’s Junior Hockey League semi final series with the St John’s Caps.

 

Saturday night Dave Penney scored twice and the Capitals edged the Caps 3-2. Andrew Paul had a single for the winners.  

 

Chris Mallard and Grant Nolan replied for the Caps.

 

Game three is set for Monday night 8:30 at the Goulds Arena.

 

F R I D A Y

Connor Stevens led the way with three goals while Lyndon Thorne added a pair.

 

Donavon Warren , Shamus Sloane, and Blake Dalton had one each for the Breakers.

 

The Roebothan McKay Marshall Avalon Junior Capitals won the opening game in that series with the Junior Caps with a 2-0 win.

 

Jarred Lush and Brett Vokey scored for the Capitals.  Aaron Small stopped 42 shots to earn the shutout
