Mount Pearl Blades and Celtics won their second games of the weekend Sunday.
Bobby Upshall scored twice and the Blades double C-B-N Stars 4-2 at the Glacier. Colin O’Neill and Grant Thompson had single goals. Ryan Dawson and Cody Batten replied for the Stars.

Celtics downed the Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals 5-2. Liam O’Rielley scored three goals one on the power play and the other into an empty net to lead the winners. Scott Cahill and Josh Nolan with singles for the winners. Cody Barron and Zac Tucker replied for the Capitals who outshot the Celtics 53-38.

The St. John’s Caps get a power play goal from Alex Doyle at 15:03 of the third period and that goal proved to be the winner as they edge CBR Renegades 4-3.
Joey Trenholm, Grant Nolan and Jason Michaud had the other Caps goals.
Andrew Barron tallied twice for the C-B-R squad and Carter Morrison had the other goal.
The Caps outshot the Renegades 45-42

Stephen Predham scored three goals as Mount Pearl Blades down Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals 8-5. Bobby Upshall and Michael Broders had two goals each and Bobby Upshall a single.
Brett Vokey scored twice for the Capitals with singles added by Coady Barron, Steven Day and Jordan Freake.
The Capitals fired 50 shots at Brett Vokey in the Blades net and the Blades 38 shots on the Capitals goal.

Celtics scored three third period goals and defeated Trinity Placentia Flyers 6-4 in St. John’s Junior Hockey League play Friday night.
Justin Carbury scored twice his second into an empty net. Kyler Frank, Curtis Kavanagh, Tyler Bennett and John Cooper added single goals.
Tyler Whittle, Curtis March, Patrick Churchill, and Jordan Mercer replied for the Flyers.
