INTERNATIONAL GIRLS HOCKEY GAME SET FOR MILE ONE

Hockey NL, in partnership with Hockey Canada and the Hockey Canada Foundation, will be hosting the 2020 Global Girls’ Game in co-operation with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Global Girls’ Game will take place in St. John’s, NL, 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8th, at the Mile One Center.

16 female players from across Newfoundland and Labrador have been selected to represent Hockey NL and Canada. This will be a weekend filled with meeting new people, leadership development, team building activities, off ice training, and playing for Team Canada on the international stage. 

Hockey NL would like to announce the players selected for the 2020 Global Girls Game:

Labrador Region:

Rachel Harding (D) – Labrador West Minor

Jessica Sacrey (F) – Churchill Falls Minor

Lauren Simms (F) – Lake Melville Minor

Western Region:

Kayla Bond (F) – Port Aux Basques Minor

Beth Simms (F) – Port Aux Basques Minor

Emma Osmond (D) – Port Aux Basques Minor

Central Region:

Brooklyn Payne (F) – Gander Minor

Sarah Budden (F) – Lewisporte Minor

Maddison Stuckless (G) – Springdale Minor

Tripen Region:

Aleah Drover (F) – Cee Bees Minor

Helena Fisher (F) – Bonavista Minor

Eastern Region:
