LaFontaine Club Bud Light defeated Bay Roberts Coors Light 4-1 in the opening game of the best of five St. John’s Intermediate Softball final series on Thursday night.
Lee Cose started and gets the win. He gave up one run in the six innings he pitched allowing four hits and fanning seven. Johnny O’Rielly finishd up.
Ward Gosse is tagged with the loss as he gave up four runs on seven hits did not issue a walk and struck out 12. He also hit a solo home run for the only run for the losers.
Game two goes Friday night 7:30 at Lions.
