Here are a few other fun facts from the weekend  from the Challenge Cup weekend. 

 

Eight league champions declared (six youth, plus senior men’s and women’s)

32 games

600+ players took part 

100 referee assignments

Thousands of fans (within facility physical distancing guidelines)

This is normally a time when our club teams are at national competitions, however there were no nationals this year due to COVID-19.  

Of interest, yesterday marked 32 years from the day Holy Cross men won its national gold medal. 

Coming up later this month will be our provincial team tryouts, and in November/December the announcement of our 2020 awards and nominations to the NLSA Hall of Fame.
