Growlers lose to Adirondack 6 – 4

CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH, Newfoundland – The Newfoundland Growlers winning streak comes to an end in their second home game to Adirondack Thunder 6 – 4.  Record is now 5 wins and 1 loss. Growlers remain first in the North Division on 10 points (5-1-0-0). The third game in this match up goes Sunday, Nov 7th at 4:00 NDT at The Arena in Conception Bay South.

It was another rough and tumble game with 12 penalties and lots of chirping on the ice throughout. Adirondack came out strong in the first period taking a 3 – 1 lead. It was 4 -2 after the second period with both teams scoring a single goal. Growlers battled back in the third but the Thunder kept one step ahead with a final score of 6-4.

Shots on goal : Adirondack 30 Growlers 34.

Ryan Chyzowski led the way offensively with a pair of goals and earned second star honours in the defeat.
