GROWLERS TAKE TWO FROM MAINE

It was  nail biter at Mile One on Wednesday night. The Growlers had a 3-1 lead after the first and 4-2 heading to the third and hung on for a 5-4 win over Maine Mariners. That have the Growlers back to back wins. Zach O’Brien had two goals. Marcus Power, Derian Plouffe and Matt Bradley had singles. Bradley scored his first goal in the league and it came on a penalty shot in the second period. 2815 fans were at the game Wednesday night. The Growlers improve t0 23-11-1 on the season. Next up the Growlers host Adirondack Friday and Saturday.

 

 

TU E S DA Y

The Growlers scored four second period goals and go on to beat Maine Mariners 8-4 Tuesday night. The Growlers are now 22-11 on the season and Maine 19-14.

Adam Pardy had two goals for the Growlers. Josh Kestner, Derian Plouffe, Marcus Power Alex Gudbranson Scott Pooley and Brady Ferguson had singles for the Growlers. 2455 fans at the game on Tuesday night.

Interesting to note Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts goalie in provincial hockey, A J Whiffen was backup goaltender for the Maine Mariners Tuesday night .
