Colin Fewer now holds the record for the most wins of the Tely 10 mile road race. Fewer placed first Sunday with a winning time of 49 minutes and 41 seconds. That’s his 10th win in the 90 year history of this event. The previous record for most wins was held by Pat Kelly who had nine. Second place went to Matt Loiselle in 50:29 and third place was claimed by David Freake with a time of 51:24.
Jennifer Murrin was the first female to the Bannerman Road finish line with a winning time of 57 minutes and 16 seconds. Lisa Collins Sheppard placed second in 59:47 and Caroline McIllroy third in 59:55.
And 79 year old Florence Barron who holds the previous record of 89:59 for her age bracked this time beat that record with a new time of a little over 87 minutes.
