The best of seven St. John’s Intermediate Baseball final series is now a best two out of three affair.
OMT Shamrocks tied the best of seven final at two games each as they downed Holy Cross 5-1 thanks to a four run second inning.
Ben Murphy goes the distance to get the win. He gave up the one run on on four hits. He did not walk a batter and struck out five.
Bradley Riggs takes the loss as he too went the distance. He gave up those five runs on six hits. He walked just two and sent nine down via the strikeout route.
No player in this game had more than one hit.
