EDGE LOSE TO WINDSOR

The St. John’s Edge (22-14) fell to the Windsor Express (19-16) 108-95 on Saturday night. Both teams struggled with scoring in the first half by combining for only 86 points at halftime. The Express found their spark in the third quarter and kept momentum throughout the second half to secure just their first home victory over the Edge at the WFCU Centre  

 

Charles Hinkle led the Edge with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Alex Johnson, continued his consistent play by contributing 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Carl English dealt with added defensive pressure all game but managed to put up 14 points.

St. John’s went 34-for-80 (42.5percent) from field-goal territory, while only making 7-of-30 (23.3 percent) of their three-point shots.

The Express went 34-for-76 (37.5 percent) from field-goal territory, while making 12-of-32 (37.5 percent) of their three-point shots.

The St. John’s Edge continue their final regular season road trip with a stop in Kitchener-Waterloo to take on the Titans, Wednesday, March 21th, Tip-off is 8:32 PM.
