The St. John’s Edge lost two games this weekend and now drop to 1-5 on the season.

Sunday it was Halifax winning 112-111. That game went down With the final possession in the hands of the Halifax Hurricanes, they played spoiler to the St. John’s comeback when a Tyrone Watson floater fell in the hoop as the buzzer sounded.

The Edge were led by Maurice Jones Sr. who scored a game-high 30 points with 18 of those points coming in the fourth quarter alone. Dez Lee a backed him up with 24 points.

The Edge lost Friday for the third time to Moncton 80-75.
