BREAKERS WILL PLAY CATARACTS FOR HERDER

S U N D A Y 

Southern Shore Breakers are headed to the Herder Memorial Trophy final against the Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts. Sunday night the Breakers swept Clarenville Caribous with a 4-3 overtime win against  Clarenville Caribous . Michael Chafes second goal of the game one minute in overtime gave the Breakers the 4-3 win.Daniel Cadigan and Daniel Alyward had the other goals for the Shore. Chris Sparkes has two goals for the Bous and Chad Earle had a single for the Caribous. 

The Breakers will be looking for their sixth Herder and last won the Herder 15 years ago in 2004.

The Cataracts will be looking for their 13th Herder and their first in three years having last won it in 2016.

The Southern Shore Breakers are one win away from a berth in this years Herder Memorial Trophy Final.

 

Friday night the Shore get two goals from Connor McCarthy and skate to a 6-3 win over the Clarenville Caribous.

 

Stephen Oates, Brandon Baird and Peter Kennedy had singles.

 

Chad Earle netted two goals for Clarenville and Mason Reid had the single.

 

Breakers won the first two games by identical 4-2 scores.
